Exporting a Repair List and Viewing the Shareable Web Version

This article explains how to export your repair list as a PDF or open a shareable web version, and why the shareable option may not appear until you save the list.

Where to do it

  1. Open your inspection report (from your job or the link you received).

  2. Open the Repair Lists panel (sidebar on the right). If you don’t see it, your company may not have repair lists enabled for your role.

  3. Add items to your list from the report if you haven’t already.

  4. Click Export Repair List at the bottom of the Repair Lists panel.

  5. In the Export Repair List modal you can:

    • View shareable web version — when this option is available (see below).

    • Preview PDF — see the PDF in the browser.

    • Download PDF — save the file. You may see Include addendum items if your list has addendum items; turn it on or off before preview or download.

    • Cancel — close the modal.

When you’ll see “View shareable web version”

The View shareable web version button only appears when you are exporting a saved repair list.

  • Save your list first: Use Save List (for a new list) or Update List (for an existing one) in the Repair Lists panel. After the list is saved (you’ll see List Saved or the list name under Saved Repair Lists), open Export Repair List again. The View shareable web version option will then appear at the top of the modal.

  • If you only added items and didn’t save: The export modal will still open and you can preview and download the PDF, but View shareable web version will not be shown. Save the list, then open Export Repair List to get the shareable link.

  • Sample or demo reports: If you’re on a sample or demo report, the app does not load repair lists from previous visits. Save your list in this session first; after that, Export Repair List will show View shareable web version for that session.

What the options mean

  • View shareable web version — Opens a web page of your repair list in a new tab. You can share that link (or send it by email via Share Repair List) so others can view the list without logging in, according to your company’s sharing settings.

  • Preview PDF — Generates and shows the PDF in the browser. Use Download PDF on the preview screen to save the file.

  • Include addendum items — If your list has addendum items, this switch controls whether they are included in the PDF. It does not affect the shareable web version, which always shows the current list content.

After you export

  • View shareable web version: A new tab opens with the shareable page. You can copy the URL from the address bar to share it. For email or sharing with specific people, use Share Repair List from the Repair Lists panel.

  • Download PDF: The PDF is saved to your device. The filename is based on the report name and date (e.g. repair-list-property-name-2025-03-12.pdf).

Caveats

  • You must save the repair list (Save List or Update List) before View shareable web version appears in the Export Repair List modal. There is no shareable link for an unsaved list.

  • On sample or demo reports, saved lists from past visits are not loaded; save in the current session to see the shareable option.

  • Deleting a saved list removes it for everyone with access; the shareable link for that list will no longer work.

Need help?

If you don’t see the Repair Lists panel or the Export Repair List button, your company may not have this feature turned on for your role. If you’ve saved the list and still don’t see View shareable web version, try refreshing the report and opening Export Repair List again. For access or feature questions, contact your inspector or company administrator.
