Sync Spectora job (Attik workorders)

Use Sync Spectora job when the office creates and manages the job in Attik but your team still writes reports in Spectora. This action updates Spectora so it matches what you have in Attik—it is not the same as simply opening Spectora in the browser.

Where to find it

  • Open the workorder for an Attik job (the header shows the Attik chip, not Spectora).

  • Click Actions on the workorder header.

  • Under Spectora, choose Sync Spectora job (wording in your workspace may match this or be very similar).

If you do not see this option, your company may not have Spectora connected, or the job may not be eligible (for example it is cancelled or was created in Spectora).

What it does

Sync Spectora job makes sure the job in Spectora matches the job in Attik:

  • If no Spectora job is linked yet, it can create one.

  • If a Spectora job is already linked, it updates that job so details align—such as who is assigned, what is on the order, and which report types belong on the job in Spectora.

It pushes or fixes data from Attik toward Spectora so field staff are working from the same picture as the office.

Not the same as Open Spectora job

  • Open Spectora job only opens the Spectora inspection in a new browser tab. It does not run a sync.

  • Use Sync Spectora job when you need Attik and Spectora to match, not only when you want to view Spectora.

When to use it

Use Sync Spectora job when:

  • You scheduled or changed the job in Attik and Spectora does not look right—for example a missing job, wrong inspector, line items that do not match, or report templates that seem off.

  • You corrected something in Attik (services, charges, people on the job, assignment) and you want Spectora brought up to date without redoing that work in Spectora.

  • Something failed or was delayed the first time (such as a brief integration issue) and you want to try syncing again.

When it is not the right tool

  • Jobs that started in Spectora and are owned there are kept in sync from Spectora into Attik, not by pushing the whole job from Attik again. For those jobs, coordinate changes in Spectora when needed.

  • Sync is not a substitute for setup: Spectora still needs to be connected in Attik, inspectors should be linked to Spectora where required, and services and report configuration should be set up so Attik knows what to send. If those pieces are missing, sync may not be able to fix the problem by itself.

  • Cancelled jobs are not valid targets for this sync.

Quick rule of thumb

  • Attik is the source of truth for the job → use Sync Spectora job when Spectora needs to catch up or match Attik.

  • You only need to view or edit in Spectora → use Open Spectora job.
