Where to find it
Open Calendar.
Use the calendar menu actions Add Event or Add Recurring Event.
Edit events from existing calendar event modals.
When you can use it
Use this flow when creating calendar blocks or adjusting existing events.
Use recurring edit scope controls when a series needs either a one-off fix or a series-wide change.
What you can do
Add/Edit modal basics
Both event types use the same modal framework:
Modal title changes between Add Calendar Event and Edit Calendar Event.
Submit action changes between Save (create) and Update (edit).
In create mode, you can switch between:
Event
Recurring Event
Event (single event) options
In the Event form, you can set:
Name
Employee/assignee selection
Description
Start Date/Time
End Date/Time
Recurring Event options
In the Recurring Event form, you can set:
Name
Employee selection
Description
Recurrence pattern under Set Recurring Event:
Daily
Weekly with Which Days Should This Event Repeat?
Monthly, with Repeat Monthly By:
Date of month
Week & Weekday
Time window under Set Times:
Start Time
End Time
Recurring edit scope choices
When editing a recurring event, the modal asks how broadly to apply changes:
This event
All events
Scope behavior:
This event updates only the selected occurrence.
All events applies updates to the recurring series.
In single-occurrence edit mode, recurring pattern controls are hidden because you are editing just one instance.
After you save
Saving with This event updates only that occurrence.
Saving with All events updates the full series.
Save is blocked if end time is before start time until time order is corrected.
Caveats
All events can affect many rows and assignments, so use it carefully.
Locked events may block movement/editing and can show lock warnings in edit flows.
In monthly recurrence mode, invalid monthly selections must be corrected before save.
